I know, I know another Mustang... LOL! But it seems like the Mustang guys are the only one's coming in right now so you'll have to endure the torture until we get another Mopar in the shop!
Well Fabian brought us his 1999 Vortech Supercharged Cobra that has been sitting for a while due to an unfortunate introduction of water to the cylinders sent his stock engine packing... He purchased a built short block and had some issues getting it to fire. We got her here at RP and we'll be getting her back on the road asap for him!
Here are some pics of the teardown...
Unfortunately the Trans/O2 harness was smashed in between the engine and trans during install...
Flattened like a pancake...

Banana Spider Love...
Missing water jacket plug in his newly purchased short block...
All the marked valves are visibly bent having made contact with the pistons due to the engine being incorrectly timed...
See those Valve "Reliefs" in the pistons yeah those are not supposed to be there... LOL!

Not something you look forward to seeing in your cylinders... The rust sitting on the piston crown was flaking off the cylinder wall with a finger nail...
We'll have this badboy up and running hard again in no time!!!
good thing for him it didnt fire up
I'd be unstoppable if it wasnt for Physics & Law enforcement
Thats for sure!

Its actually in great shape considering how long it's been sitting outside. We'll have her running hard in no time!
Block was ruined so we got a new one for the rebuild and the machine shop was slammed so we're back hustling to get this badboy running again by Monday!
16 of the 32 Valves were bent in Fabian's cylinder heads so we went ahead and upgraded to Stainless Ferrea valves and bronze guides while we had the chance.
