    New Plasti Dip Color

There's a new color coming soon (if not out already), SMOKE. I'm curious to see how it's going to turn out. Info here. First pictures will probably be on dipyourcar.com, amazing site for PD lovers.

Smoke is used for something like tails, it would be intersting to see the finish between VHT Nightshades and Plasti Dip Smoke...

I don't know how well a rubberized "smoke" coating would work on lenses. I think I'd stick to other body parts, but you know people will be doing lenses with it.

Can't wait to get this. Probably redo my wheels and add the glossifier to it.

I would NEVER use this on headlights or tails, even with the glossifier. Nightshades has its purpose already.

Was it hard to do your wheels? Is it holding up well?

Mine? It wasn't hard at all. Remove, clean, put playing cars around edge of rim, spray a few coats, let dry and put on.

I didn't let mine dry for as long as I should have, a day, so when I went to torque my lugnuts on the plastidip went with the nuts, but you can't even tell while getting up close. They've held up well, besides road grime and brake dust. My fronts don't really look black, more like a dark dark brown even when I rinse them off. So that's kind of a bummer. It depends on your brake pads though. I use StopTech.

I'm probably going to redo them this summer because I want to add that glossifier and play around with the new smoke as well.

Interesting result for the grille, I expected darker though. I guess you have to apply multiple coats to get to a dark finish. Really not convinced on the tail lights...

You've got to keep up with the brake dust. I use the foaming meguires tires cleaner and it does pretty good at keeping them nice and black.

Does the glossifer add a nice shine or like a dull shine ? Is it worth getting ?
