    Traded the Magnum in

Well, its sad to say that I traded my 2006 Magnum R/T AWD on a new 2012 Durango R/T. I definately will miss the Magnum, but I do really like the new D. Hopefully some performance stuff will come more available soon.

I've been a pretty quiet member on this forum. I usually just read and post when I know what I'm talking about or I can offer advice so I'll probably be sticking with this forum for a long time. There really isn't much out there for forums on the new Durango. Maybe the mods will bring a new section to this forum like they have for the Jeep SRT8!

Anyway, attached is a pic of the new ride!

Nice, good luck with your new ride. I had a 1998 Dodge Durango and have always been a fan of this SUV. I really like the new body style much better. Great looking ride. Are you going to change the rims out to larger ones, or keep the stock?

I'm gonna stay with stock right now on the wheels. I had a set of 20" Foose DF-5s on the Magnum, but they won't fit the new D. I did put them up next to the Durango since I sold them separately and they looked awesome! I don't think I'll go bigger than 20 with this car if I get new wheels. Probably just go with a nice, more sporty looking 20" wheel eventually.

I really want an intake and exhaust for it first. I'm also praying the tuning comes available for these too! I miss what the Diablo tuner did for the Magnum big time!

I saw a couple of these at my port and they do look real nice. We have a guy there that wants one ,but the price point is too high for him right now. Congrats on the new ride.

Yeah, I hear ya. I'd be hurting even more going from a SRT8 to the Durango. The D is no slouch, but its not the same. I miss my Magnum still, but I love my new ride.

Yeah, that was one of the reasons I went with the R/T. The color matched trim and the "SRT" inpired bumper. The Citadel is a sharp car though! Nice color!

Congrats on your new truck, nice color too.

When we were shopping I had a tough time deciding between the Grand Cherokee and the Durango (test drove both with the 5.7 at the dealer) but the deciding factor was my Wife liked the interior of the Jeep better. I loved them both but am happy with the GC.

BTW...Volant makes a nice CAI system that fits both the GC and the Durango R/T with the 5.7 Hemi, sounds sweet when you stick your foot in it.

I was back and forth on what to go with. I was always a Jeep guy. I had a Wrangler and my parents had a Grand Cherokee. I ultimately went with the Durango. I liked the 7 passenger option and it had a little more room for cargo. I'm a drummer so I had to be able to transport the kit still. The future wife also liked the Durango a little better than the GC. I would have been happy with either one so I went with the Durango. Price would have been about the same when all said and done.

I was reading about the Volant CAI, but I went with the Mopar CAI. I liked the looks of it just a little better. It was a task to find the part number. I had send a few emails out about it. Basically I ordered a Mopar CAI for a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. No where on any site lists the Durango in the fitment guide, but when I got read the instruction manual, the Durango is listed. Weird....

Johnyd 40 and NP4 - It was hard to get rid of the Magnum, but I'm liking the D more and more. I think Jim will own his Magnum collection longer than any man on this earth!
