Super Pro (10.99 and faster) generally brought in 50 or so cars. I couldn't even count how many Street class cars there were. Slowly, the fields started thinning out, until they started combining classes. Now the finals are all classes combined in a handicap race. You guys had a whopping 62 car turnout. That was for all cars combined. How long will it be before you get bored racing against the same 5 guys in your class? It's only a matter of time before Chrysler cuts the LX platform to move in the next best thing. Then what?
But you know what? I'm new to this site. This game is on your field. You guys race, do your shows, whatever it is you like to do. I was honestly just trying to help grow your race division. Some people seem to have embraced my ideas, but many seem to be upset and defensive. I didn't have any intention of ruining your neighborhood, giving anyone headaches, or damaging tracks. So I concede and withdraw my thoughts on this subject.
Kenny, you have much more experience than I do in drag racing. I am all for hearing your ideas. You've helped me out more than once.

I'd hate to see you withdraw from the discussion. End the end it's up to the committee. We want to make the series better each year, and listening to those with decades of experience is a great way to learn.

Seems some would disagree with you.

OK. Just tell me if the words get too big for you:
    1) "Someone who will never run at one of these events". What the hell do you think I am trying to do? Sorry if after a mortgage, 2 dogs, 3 kids, 1 in college, 5 cars and my OUTDATED drag car, I can't afford to build an LX. I DO have enough parts & resources to put together a Hemi drivetrain and thought that since this was a "HEMI" event, just maybe somewhere down the road, I could have some fun amungst peers.
    2) "Let alone actually help". As far as helping out, everyone knows I'm new to this site. Did you know I helped sponsor the VMP event? I gave away a full 2 step system with programmed controller. Sorry I couldn't make it to the race on such short notice. I had to work in order to keep up with my luxurious lifestyle.

If you don't want me to play in your sandbox, fine. I've already said that I would let it be. But you should be careful what kind of $hit you want to throw at a potential race series sponsor.

I have to ask you. What in the world makes you think Erik"Hemi31" was even talking to you? Call me stupid, but when I take the time to read the whole thread it seems he wasnt even close to directing that statement towards you.. Maybe read it again bud, Just my 0.2

Well then I sincerely apologize. I just happened to see the latest responses and got a bit defensive. I guess I just took it all out of context. Haven't been in my happy place lately.

You haven't been in your happy place because you've not driven a car down the 1320 in way too long.

You have no idea how much truth is behind that statement.

pulled the big block out from under the covers last night. Looks like it was a hotel for squirrels. My sheetmetal tunnelram is covered in chipmunk poop. The threads in the block for the oil pump are sealed over from mudwasps. And my air compressor blew a head gasket.

Just so people know, Kenny and Stealth Electronics donated a $525 complete modern HEMI two step kit/harness to the prize pool for VMP. Id say he wants whats best for the series. We are in process of getting the ball rolling on next years rule discussions. 5 great forum members are on the board and I am sure they will do a great job.
