I just ask because of the MIR restriction on Drag Packs & Clones for the Fatsest Hemi challenge at MIR...as you know that's an NMCA restriction....not MSHS. Are you able to participate in the MSHS classes at MIR? Did you just run exhibition at VMP?

I would attend and run Unlimited MIR but I'm not just for Exhibition.

I am in strong agreement with Jerseyboy's "ambassador like" approach on this.
    My thoughts:
    - let anything Gen III Hemi powered that doesn't fit in to an existing class compete in the "Exhibition" class.
    - let everyone in attendance that is Gen III Hemi powered compete in the "Index" class.
    - I would love to bring my GTX to one of these events so there is a bit of selfishness involved here.

I do think you would start to see the event grow as more individuals who have done these swaps become aware of the event and a place to race with other Gen III's.

And I can think of at least one vendor who would consider sponsoring the class

understood ... MSHS exhibition won't be available for MIR, too many other classes running.

This is a GREAT series as is. I'm all for adding more cars but we have plenty of classes to support the majority now. We've already had situations for those that run heads up and idex where those who are still in both have to hot lap the last half of the event. TIME RESTRICTIONS come into play at some point not to metion sponsorship..
AFTER the season there needs to be some rule tweaking but mid-stream changes would not be beneficial IMO. There were and are rules we run with now I don't like; but it is what it is and I'll hold back those until the proper time.
We lost some good guys with the current rules some rules proved to be good moves others ran off cars that should still be racing with us. Again just my opinion. Based on what we have seen so far this season racing is good and competion is tight. What else can you ask for?
BTW Jerseyboy I said Trucks not SUV's. As much as you think they are trucks too. They are not. Come look at my Megacab. Thats a truck!! I know its hard for you city slickers to understand but Trucks are made to haul stuff in the back that you don't have to smell...like Fish or a dead deer. That help you any?? LMAO

Hey chicken boy, do you actually go to many drag races? Push things to the limit and they break or someone in a Mustang smacks a wall. It is a rare event that something doesn't happen. It was a jeep this time, it has been Chargers before. (and Mustangs and Camaros, et al if you go to a few different tracks.)

When I started bracket racing, it was a new concept for NHRA. It was great. I started in Heavy, and quickly moved up to Pro (11 second class). There was usually 100+ cars in Pro. Super Pro (10.99 and faster) generally brought in 50 or so cars. I couldn't even count how many Street class cars there were. Slowly, the fields started thinning out, until they started combining classes. Now the finals are all classes combined in a handicap race. You guys had a whopping 62 car turnout. That was for all cars combined. How long will it be before you get bored racing against the same 5 guys in your class? It's only a matter of time before Chrysler cuts the LX platform to move in the next best thing. Then what?
But you know what? I'm new to this site. This game is on your field. You guys race, do your shows, whatever it is you like to do. I was honestly just trying to help grow your race division. Some people seem to have embraced my ideas, but many seem to be upset and defensive. I didn't have any intention of ruining your neighborhood, giving anyone headaches, or damaging tracks. So I concede and withdraw my thoughts on this subject.

leave my hat out of this! and yes i go to the track plenty of times to see my share of accidents. usually most damage is done on test and tune days when it should, not at actual events :P
not saying people dont break at events but dont make your first run at the track an event day when you dont know whats gonna happen
