OST Dyno Building A New Tune for Alcharger :-))

WOW sums up my positive experiences with Mike at OST Dyno.

Mike has been tuning serious power for years, like +2,000 HP. So he is no stranger to anything I have thrown at him. He has resources to simulate my engine and play what if's. That is WAY COOL!

He come highly regarded and recommended by Diablo Sport.

Mike has been great helping me prioritize our goals in small steps. I NEED that!

Tonight I'll run his base tune, log the results and email back to Mike. I'm confident we are on the right track.

He set a new 5.7L, 1/4 MPH record of 117MPH with Mikes tune. I have chated with Mike a little over PM's also and he seemed very knowledgeable and very quick to respond back. I plan to have Mike do some remote dyno tuning come spring time, seems very well versed in his field.

Yep, ran an 11.82 ET which tied Hemi~C's time with a crap 1.79 60'. The track prep was next to none existent! I knew going to this track on T&T days they skimp on track prep but it was the last time we could run until late January. A Viper just about lost it on his 1st to 2nd shift that afternoon. He parked it after that pass.

Ran (3) three +117 MPH passes that day with #1 piston broken.

Mike's tune has release more power than ever! He is almost as obsessed as I on making me go as fast as possible.

YES, Mike knows his stuff, he has tuned ricers to high dollar 2,000 HP cars. He is willing to share his experience with you to go faster.

How is mike with Ford tuning?

we have 2 Mustangs that are in desperate need of some decent tuning... one is a Eforce Blown Built bottom end 2005 Auto on 16 psi, and the other is a 2000 built bottom end, with ported heads and very large comp cams...

the cammed car is having issues staying running with the tune it has... it likes to stall... and the car has an electrical gremlin as well... not fun... we need to sort all these out before we can call them done...

    just wondering...

Neither of these should be an issue.

I thought these were SCT XCAL2's? Or are we talking about a different car?

Either way, as long as the car is mechanically sound remote tuning should not be an issue.

    Have a great day!

Mike is really good with his tunes.
    I installed a MagnaCharger on my 2010 Challenger R/T.
The tune that came with it was very conservative, and A/F ratio was rich, like in the upper 9's.
Was running the 1/4 in the 12.6.
I contacted Mike, did some dataloging, and he e-mailed me a tune, and leaned the A/F ratio to the mid 11's.
Got a run at 12.007 at Pittsburgh Raceway Park.
Mike attended that event, and made some adjustments between runs on his laptop.
    Ended up with a 11.79 @ 114.5.
That is the quickest Challenger with a MagnaCharger and stock block 5.7 so far.
Ran out of good weather to make any more events before winter.
Mike feels there is more in it yet, once I get it on his dyno for some fine tuning.
Knocking off .9 in the 1/4 with just a tune show me a lot.

I exchanged PM's and e-mails with Mike last night. I am truly impressed with his quick response and level of knowledge to this point. If I can get the issue that we're working on solved, which it sounds like we might, I may have to find out where he's located and get a dyno tune. I may also just do an e-mail tune as well. Good so far.
