Very plain interior: black carpet & mats, black cloth seats, black trim except for a chrome strip along the inside of the door panel.
I ordered as much luxury as they offered: power seats & lumbar adjust, adjustable pedals, uConnect Bluetooth and an auto-dimming mirror with the microphone built-in.

The shifter sticks out of the dash, and it takes a little getting used to, but I like it.
The floor "console" is more like a temporary cover for electrical stuff. There is almost nowhere to store anything between the seats, and there is a big square bare spot behind the plastic console with visible sheet metal and four mounting holes with threaded sheet metal clips... they would presumably be used to fasten the console down in a civilian Charger, and they'll be used to attach the back of the Havis police console I ordered. (In the meanwhile, I'm going to use 'em to screw down an inexpensive plastic bin to keep my stuff off the floor).

    Crazy fast

The service guy at the dealership told me that Pursuit models have a different powertrain calibration than the civilian R/T, and that he had found them to be "noticeably" quicker & faster.
I don't know if it's faster than a stock R/T, but I got to play a little bit this morning against a G8 GT. When we finally found a stretch of open road, he couldn't gain on me in 20-30 seconds of WOT before we ran out of room.

Push-button start. The trunk key is inside the fob, but it can be opened from the fob or from the dashboard button. (On the Pursuit, the CHMSL trunk button is there but disabled).
I went with the standard 2.65 gears: the Michigan comparisons showed little or no advantage to the numerically higher ratio, and I wanted the slightly better mileage.
I like the chrome caps! I do need to sit down and black out the wheel weights, though.

Haha, if you like the caps that's all good. I would take it to a shop and have them re-balance all the wheels. In most cases the weight needs to be more inward on the wheel and not on the very edge.

Very nice! Reminds me of the old 68 Roadrunners, a bit plain, but in a good way, got that "Don't F With Me" look.

I did some development and FEA on that shifter a few years ago. how much did you pay? it's neat and all, but MSRP on a no-optioned police package is like $1500 more than a standard R/T, and you get a lot of creature comforts on a standard R/T you don't get on the police model, enough that I wasn't willing to sacrifice.

Are you a civvie or LEO? I only ask because of the spotlight. I know they remove them from the Ford Interceptors they sell to the public around here.

Bad ass car man. People are going to part like the Red Sea for you.

Tint your windows as dark as you legally can, put a small American flag decal low on the back window and watch the cars will line up behind you as you cruise along. Awesome ride. Tell the next person that ask what you paid for it to stick it, you got what you wanted , dont matter what you paid.

I got it for under $32K plus tax & tags, about $3000 off MSRP.
I "loaded" it as much as I could, but it still lacks a lot of comforts... and it's exactly the car I wanted. Love it.

No paddles. Just the console-mounted lever, which has an upshift/downshift rocker switch on it.

It's not the most natural-feeling device, but it looks like it would make a great donut holder...

Exactly. I would have gladly paid the full sticker price for the car. Glad I didn't have to.
