dvd while driving

okay, so i might be getting a new 300 here in a couple weeks. It'll be the wife's. the only thing she is requiring is that it have screen(s) in the back for the kids to watch dvd's on our many road trips. So my questions are:

Does the 300 play DVD's? (pretty sure the one with the 8" screen does right?)

Is there a way to 'hack' it to keep playing while driving? (I don't care if it doesn't play on the dash screen, but it must play on the back screen(s))

I currently have an '07 charger. How does the '12 300 compare to it in regards to interior space? (random question)

All I can tell you is that, if the car is equipped with a rear DVD player, if will play with the car in motion. The dash DVD won't play while in motion. Yes, the 8.4 unit in the new 300 does play DVD's. I sure there is an option to add the rear screen, but you need to check with Chrysler.

The back is actually a dvd player and works while car is moving,as the driver can not see the screens so it doesnt distract them during driving..but the indash screen in the center console is locked as its in the middle by the driver and u will need to get a in motion hack to make it work while the car is moving.while standing still the car in park,the current software should be able to read dvd for movies,and like i said only while the car is in park

I might be going for a used one so adding a vec might not be an option. I was thinking I might be able to add screens myself but I'd love to control them from the dash. Does this hack exist?

lookup myGig.. i believe they already have one for the 2011-2012 models

MYGIG LOCKPICK

so if I get this it will unlock the in motion lock?

does the factory unit have A/V or hdmi out so i can install my own screens?

that may have your answer... I'm not too sure but I know of 2011 Uconnect model had a feature built-in to control screens in the rear.. HOWEVER it might be specific to UConnect Model #

Replace it with an iPad, i have wanted to see it done on the new 300's I have it in my dash and I don't think any factory screen is comparible to my iPad. Internet, music, movies, camera, and better featured nav with the touch of my finger.
