SWEET! Looking forward to the results

Old thread I know. Searching brought me here. Post results please for Stage 1 and 2 heads. I have a SRT Max cam and SLP 25% UD pulley on a 6.1 and looking for heads and ported intake. Novawagon mentioned you guys and I like the porting pics I seen... quite possibly the cleanest port work I've seen.

Nothing but great things to say, I have stock valve stage 2 2006 5.7 heads. Cars ran a best of 115.76mph and best ET of 12.002, this is on a stock bottom 06 5.7L runing on shorty headers. You'll be astounded by the work they do, artwork in its own right.

I will have mine on the dyno in the next few weeks to finalize the tune and will post then. I have a 6.1 w/ GTP Stage 1 heads & manifold to go along with a cam not much bigger than a SRT Max and this thing is a beast. GTP did a helluva job fixing a botched port job on the manifold (bad buy on my part) and the head work is beautiful. You can't beat the work they do and the price is extremely reasonable.

I was one of the lucky ones to get in when this thread was started. GTP prepared a beautiful set of Eagle heads and a ported 6.1 intake manifold to top off a stout 5.7 short block assembled by Arrington. This combination was good for multiple wins in the 2011 and 2012 MSHS series, and ultimately set a record 10.84 @ 126.91 mph. No other N/A 5.7 has come close, and that number also tied Budoboy's 6.1 ET record. The proof is in the results. GTP knows how to make power.

After two seasons of racing with these heads, I felt it was time for a refresh/upgrade. Here are some pics of the reworked heads:

Tomorrow is dyno day but today I got to test out my email tune (Dave Katz, EFI Specialties) against an Inertia dyno tuned Chally. It was me (GTP S1 heads, GTP Manifold & 221/227 115 cam, 3.06, auto) against a 08 SRT Chally (Inertia heads, Inertia Manifold & SRT Max cam 112 lsa, 3.06, auto). We were fairly close in 1st and 2nd but I was pulling him and then put another 3/4 car in 3rd but we both let out before we had to shift into 4th. We did 5 30-40mhp rolling starts times and I left him each time. Traction was an issue on 60* concrete and street tires and the Chally has a Getrag with stickeier tires than mine.

The Chally put down 450 on a dynojet and I will be on a mustang tomorrow. I finally got to see what the family car could do against something with a VERY similar setup.
