GTP Eagle heads *Installed* Pics inside

Major props to Craig and Alex at GTP for reaching out and asking for volunteers to try out their products. I responded to the inquiry, and was given the opportunity to run a set of massaged Eagle heads.

A few phone calls back and forth to discuss details, and my heads were being assembled. I also sent GTP a 6.1 intake manifold for porting. In a matter of days, UPS dropped off a couple packages. These guys are no joke. They did exactly what they said they were going to do, and did it in prompt fashion.

I have decided to do the install in steps so I can measure the gains individually. Heads first. Then 6.1 intake manifold. Then camshaft (still undecided what to do because of the VCT clusterphuck).

I removed the heads last night after work, cleaned up, and called it quits. I went back out to the garage this morning and began assembly. I was not out there long before InferAl showed up to lend a hand (Thanks for the help and the company, Al!). A few hours later, the car was running and ready for a spin. The test drive consisted of a few miles of local driving, and a run down the interstate just to make sure I did not have any leaks, noises, or codes. It is still monsoon season here in Ohio, so I could not use the butt dyno. I hope to get to the track in a few days. That is where it matters the most.

Updates will follow as I get performance data, and also when I swap intakes.

Craig and Alex... A huge "THANK YOU" for letting me be a part of your program. You guys made this part of my build very easy. The heads look good, and your customer service has been excellent throughout the entire process.

    Pics...

    EDIT:
It has done nothing but rain since I put the heads on. Still no performance data. With the MIR race coming up, I do not have time to sit idle. So much for testing one part at a time! Today, I installed the SRT8 intake manifold that GTP ported. Sorry, but I did not get pics of the porting work, but it is beautiful! I still need a few pieces to complete the install, but here is a pic of the manifold sitting in it's new home:

    UPDATE!

Finally got some track time under my belt with the new heads and intake manifold. Tune is still "in progress", but we made a good showing at the MIR event last weekend. The car ran a best of 11.99 @ 109mph on Saturday (I've never run in the 11's before in positive DA!). Here are a few timeslips from the event.

Now that the MIR event is behind us, it's time to sort out the tune and get this sled rolling. Stay tuned...we're not done yet!

Thanks again Craig and Alex. You guys have been there for me when I've had questions, and I really appreciate your feedback.

Make sure you log the A/F cause it's probably going to be lean at WOT.

Thanks Erik. I figured it might go lean, so I added some fuel via the predator just to be on the safe side. I will definitely log the A/F (in addition to "the usual" pids) when I get some dry roads to "test" on. At that point, I will ask A.J. to dial it in.

Can't wait to see the results. Hopefully, it stops raining soon so you can give them a try at the track.

Should compliment that new FTI converter quite nicely.

Definately a nice set of heads, the combustion chamber looks polshed like a mirror, I might have stayed for the test drive but I don't think we would both fit in that blue plastic seat LOL
