    PWR under my hood...

Updated for my change in plans… I ended up buying a stroker motor during PWR’s 30%-off sale!!

I've really enjoyed my cam-only 5.7 for the past two years, but the build continues. There's a 3.73 Getrag and 6-speed motor mounts sitting in my garage and my new PWR heads and cam are in the mail. 397 stroker, heads and cam are in the mail.

The heads will go on over the winter, but the plan is for them to eventually make their way onto my future stroker and I bought PWR's 'Cam Upgrade Program' so that I can trade in my cam at that time as well.

PWR has been great through all of this. Here's the build...

    5.7-based 397 stroker
    - Also bought a new oil pump, timing chain set, 6.1 tensioner, lifters, etc., etc.

    PWR Mean Street Heads
    - PSI 1511 springs
    - Titanium retainers

    PWR-XXX cam
    - I don’t have the specs handy, but it's PWR’s latest stroker grind that yielded 465hp/465tq in Clean300C’s recent build.

I don’t expect to achieve those numbers as I have an Eagle manifold and will stick with my stock throttle body for now, but I should be seeing a really noticeable gain in HP and TQ.

Thanks to Justin and Brad for answering all of my questions. I can't frickin' wait!!

Glad I could help push you over the edge and into some more PoWeR. Part of me wishes I had gotten to enjoy some growth spurts power wise... The other part is enjoying every second of learning to control this thing. Ran into a worked M3 today that roasted me before, he was shocked and bruised. Enjoy your new parts Sir! I won't be surprised if you wind up with winter pics of it all going on your future bottom end

Thanks... but the heads and cam already cost me new living room furniture. I can't imagine what the stroker short block is going to cost me.

    I updated my first post.

Apparently a stroker motor costs hardwood floors on the entire first floor. I'm okay with that and ordered a 397 today.
