I ended up going a different direction with my under-hood design recently and decided to sell my LMI Hammer. I had (slightly) damaged the gorgeous tube on installation and was selling it at a discount because of it. I had not contacted Chris from LMI because it was my fault and i was in no way interested in trying to get it repaired under warranty or anything. Within an hour or so of me posting the sale thread with pics of the damage, Chris PM'd me and offered for absolutely nothing more than the shipping cost to repair the intake tube good as new, and ship it to the new owner directly once it sold.
I was very impressed to say the least, because not only was this a straight up example of a vendor going over and above the call of duty; no one had called him in the first place to take action. I still sold the intake at the discounted price, but Chris made sure that no matter who had his products and where they got them from, that they were in pristine condition and working as designed. I couldn't ask for more proactive service from any business and I'm sure the buyer of the intake was excited as well to know that they essentially are receiving a brand new intake at less than half of the list price.
You sir certainly have my respect and my future business once i settle into a new setup and i without question, will recommend your products and services to anyone in the future who may be in the market.
thanks again,
-mike

Wow thanks for saving me some typing time Mike!! I was actually writing something about this as well. I can’t say enough about both Mike and Legmaker and the level of service I received. Big thanks to Mike for taking the time to send the unit over to Legmaker for me and for not hiking up the price after he found out that it was going to be fixed.
Although I will now have my very own LMI intake I will continue to suggest that any person looking for an intake that they contact LMI for any of their applications not only because of the awesome craftsmanship but because of the way he handles his customers and stands by his product. This to me says more than anything and I appreciate what he has done for me.
Thank you both for the extra time you spent getting this awesome piece to me!

I will also be passing along the current intake I have on the car once the new piece is installed and I can think of some kind of clever way to give it away. Just like the way I got it in the first place.

Nice to hear that..sometimes it takes 3 days for a vendor to email me back and gets mad when i contact another employee asking for help.
Chris is a class act and a stand up guy, nothing but respect for him! On top of being a great vendor, he took the time out of his busy schedule to come out and talk to several of my classes for our "Teach-In" (basically a career day) at my school. Speaks volumes on the kind of guy Chris is.

wow guys........ i feel so moved! lol
mike - i hate to see things that i have made not perfect if i know i can help. it was no problem on my end to fix it up and make the next owner a happy camper.
ryan - as the new owner, please show it off proudly!!! also, welcome to the LMI family my friend!
to everyone else, thanks for the kind words. i operate a business in a tough market with tons of competition and i have to deal with all the cheap crap sold on ebay to make matters worse. the best way to grow my business other than making a quality product, is to out "customer service" the competition. besides all that though...... i have been a member of this community far before i was a vendor.
Customer service is one of the most important things I look at when I am spending money somewhere! Heck I have been talking about this situation to all kinds of people! You being a member before your business definetly shows through to your service! Keep this kind of stuff up and pretty soon all you will see is LMI show up under "what is the best intake?" I hope your business continues to grow you deserve it!
Stories about Chris always involve a happy ending.
