Update from last meeting: For aug 8 show at k-mart so far israel, warren, james, angelica and myself said that we were attending this show. I say we show and we kick azz like we did at other shows and move on. As for aug 15th st.agnes show, hemi wagon was a maybe, warren and myself were attending. Our first lady brought to my attention that although it may be far it might be in our best interest to attend the back to school show aug 15th instead of st.agnes. #1 it is at a dealership which means alot of mopar owners will be there and we might be able to network with a chrysler representive. #2 it would be a great opporinity to show others that we actually exist besides the patrons at security mall. #3 it is for charity. #4 no registration fee except bring school supplies. #5 we get a chance to cruise as a club. The closest we have all come to a real cruise was leaving the mall at same time and then at next light we all go our seperate ways! Except those who were fortunate to cruise last sunday. We neeed to start making decisions on what is best for club and not when we have the time off and go to that particular show. Note-these are the the views of rodney a.k.a. Newchargese and not the views of bmmc itself. And jay2g1 please send this message to warren via pigeon-on time.

Ok, lets see...as far as the shows go..Im good on aug. 8th to attend the MCA car show...the 15th I am working on getting off so "stay tuned". As for which show, I would say the one thats a nice drive away would be better. Myself and ghost face attended this show before and it was tons of Mopars there at a dealership. This is good for the club to get the name out there even more.

Now, for my point of views......to kind of tag off of what you said rodney about "whats best for the club and not when one has off of work etc. ". And I expect "Hope" that everyone else feels the same. Well for starters, my job and business comes 1st before club, shows, mods, etc...I attend shows period, with team or with out. Example, I made a post asking about the next event, about 2 weeks ago..NO RESPONSE...I was going to cancel some jobs to attend if the club was trying to show in numbers but, GOT NO RESPONSE. If I would have attended either show this would have been the 2nd show that I would have registered for alone and representing a club rolling solo..Angie was in the same boat the next week after..Even though the show was canceled she took off from work and wasted a vacation day for nothing...a few weeks after that she posted about a member meet at the blvd which ended up being switched to Arundel Mills..(4 members) show up on a friday night. Also props to Ghostface for showing up even though his car is under contruction..Just for club support..Now, I have been showing cars for 10 years + so this is nothing new to me, but I would like to see a bigger turn out at the events.....Club members that is. There is no reason why we should not be killing these locals shows! Point blank.

I know some people had to work or dealing with family...but there are some that just....AHHH forget it...

    My two cents... or 10
As far as work and family goes, we should all know that those things arent even questionable about what comes first. If i have to expalin why than your sadly confused.

As far a shows go, I have been back and forth with my tuner over weekends and some things happened on his end and mine so my plans got changed at the last minute. As for the 8th I will be there but I will be late, I am rescheduled to get tuned early that morning, but warren is gonna take care of my registration so i can still be a part if im late. Also after that im good for any show for the most part except the 15th, I will be out of town that weekend. I agree that the back to school meet would be a better choice if we wanna try to get new members.

As for meets If I know about them and Im available, i have been there, and the Arundel mills thing, didnt get that info, and nobody sent a text or email the day of to see who was coming (or atleast I didnt get it). I havent missed a meeting yet (that I knew about), and Doubt I would have missed that one if I had known about it. Just like we had two new members throw a meet on sunday and one member who we had'nt met yet showed up as well and only two people showed that werent new, and we new about that since the meeting we had at angel's house and that meet was on a sunday.

Now I'm in agreement that we need bigger turnouts as well, but correct me if im wrong but outside of the show warren and street did, and one other which i couldnt do thanks to my wife, we have all been in attendance (meaning original members). We really only have 7 core members, and with the shows we have done the core members have showed, minus ghost due to work on his car, but still came out and helped with prep and Israel who has some personal things going on. So I dont think anybody is waiting on anybody, but people have things going on.

Also email and text are great, but whats wrong with making a dang phone call. Email and text dont always go through and someone may have missed the info.

OK Im Done.....Need a nap now!

I've been quiet so far but I think I should add my input now. I plan to call off sick for the 8th show because I think this will be a good showing for us. For the 15th I plan to participate in the Back to School Rally because I like the school supply drive associated with it and I believe it is definitely time for us to particiapte in some Mopar only events (actually overdue). I believe we need to have a stronger presence with our Mopar family than with other make/model families. The other make/model clubs have their own that go quite well and since we have our own we should make a concentrated effort to be supportive of these events. We should continue to participate in all inclusive events when we can but this particular day presents us with an opportunity that I feel shouldn't be missed.

As for family and work responsiblities I know these come first as mine definitely do. I am a single parent with 2 jobs and anything I say I'm going to do with the club is only after I have made sure that I do not have something scheduled with my son or mother and after I am sure that I have the day off (with the exception of the upcoming sick day of course ).

I am just hearing of the fact that people are not getting their emails and texts or have missed some posts on this forum. I thought no response meant no interest. I will try to follow up with a call if I don't get a response in a few days if it is something I have sent out.

With all of that being said, see you all soon!!!

For those of us who plan to show on Saturday, Aug. 8th I suggest we meet on the Wendy's lot at 8am. Wendy's is on the Northern Pkwy side of the same lot. This will allow us to pull in together and stage ourselves correctly for the show. Reminder.... in the event of rain this event will not be held.
