    Hood options?

Since the guy I was buying the SRT8 hood scammed me (Don't worry I got my money back). I am looking at various hood options, I want a factory SRT8 hood, nut so does everyone else. My MAIN concerns with aftermarket hoods are fitting issues, and hood pins. I really don't like the look of hood pins. Anyone have any good ideas?

    I really like this hood:

Can anyone that knows hoods read that, and let me know if this seems like a high quality hood? Also what is the airbox with it? I'm leaning towards this hood. Would I have to have hood pins? I really dislike hood pins =/

The hood seems legit. All the installed pics they had did'nt show any goofy gaps at the fenders or the hood stickin' up higher than the fenders (most common to after-market panels). But with all fiberglass it's hit or miss sometimes 'cause they're almost never the same twice. I'd say go for it if you want it. With the intake, it's just a box to channel the air taken in trough the scoop directly into the cone. I'd say the advantage of it is to force more air and cooler air at that because it doesnt suck some of the hotter air from the motor. No need for pins, I've installed a hundred f'glass hoods, as long as the metal striker is on it and reinforced (which it is) you should'nt have a prob. Hope this helps.

Thanks fellas, so if I already have a CAI, do I have that airbox, or is it apart of the padding under the hood?

Since you do this stuff this question is directed more towards you. What do I need to do if I order it to get it on my car, aside from painting? Will the hardware fit perfectly such as spray nozzles, and the hood struts or do I need additional hardware? I'm trying to get this priced overall before I buy it. Also do you d decal work?

    Thanks

Well by the description of the hood they say its a direct bolt on and if I remember correctly the struts mount to the hinge not the hood. I didnt see any squirters on any of the pics on the site but you have a few options. Some cars have the squirters clipped to the wiper arms we would just have to find a model that does and re-route the lines and use the squirters from that model. Or we could trace your original squirter holes and tranfer them and cut out for the squirters to go into the factory spots. Yeah I can do the vinyl get with Ghostface, he's got his boy leon who could make up what you want and I can put'em on. BTW after painting you have to wait 48 hours before installing decals, they will bubble up.
