I can't see the price getting much cheaper because it require more work to cut more gears, the only thing we would get a better deal on is material, so i can see the price getting much better. I can get a price if you guys get a definite interest, but other than that i'm going to stick to my much cheaper solution until it cannot handle any more power. My hope is that the cryo treated case will handle up to about 8-900 crank hp.

Well rats! I was assuming/hoping the lions share of the cost would be the setup with the material and cutting cost a distant second. I'll be interested in how your cryo holds up. After talking about cryo in this thread if reminded me of when Meister treated his axles way back when. From what I remember the cryo didn't do much for the axles as he snapped them his first outing. Best of luck to you.

Just wanted to follow up on this...Meister was kind enough to reply to my inquiry regarding his experiences with cryo. Although he did snap his treated axles he thought that the axles were much stronger. So maybe cryo is not the end all solution but it may be a big enough step forward to make it worthwhile. In the end though I think 60' times will be the true test so I'll will be interested in your results. Good Luck. I''l be hoping you get 1.5" 60'...Then I'm all in!

I don't know if I missed this discussion somewhere, but what about the GCSRT8 TC and an adapter plate and the appropriate input and output shafts?

Yea seems as the first small failure to the beefed up case, even though what broke was dodge's original part. Snap ring around the input shaft failed. Strange considering that its not really under load.

Magyum will have to post up his results but after the snap ring replacement transfer case is holding up beautifully after a few hard starts. My car was just street tuned by rdp on pump gas making 9psi. I'm still running the stock transfer case to test how far it can go. My beefed up case is a backup. Once I'm back from vacation in two weeks we will be tuning for 100 octane and 150 shot of nitrous hopefully, and also some dyno runs. Then the track if all goes well.
