1st 6.1 in the 9's "Jack the Snake"
Thanks guys. Yes I have some updates, but have been waiting on some dyno results.
One example: Trojans old blower at 16lbs would run IAT's of 185-200+. That very same blower on Allen Hess's build ran 144 degrees at the same level of boost.
And in the last two weeks, have sold 7 of them.
More on these next week when I get caught up with orders and a build that needs to get completed.
From wild to extra wild we got you covered with crap ya never knew you needed.
The first 6.1 transformation and it all went down hill from there.

Why won't this work on a twin turbo set-up? Or will it???
I hope you have one for me![]()

Hey cam,I have a question. Does ambeint temps have a major factor on how high the boosted temps are? When it was 32* outside,I was getting 190* read off the #1 intake runner. Ive heard some people say that it might be due to overlap alowing exhaust to hit the iat. true or false.

WTF.... Here we go another wannabe that thinks they have something good for us real FI guys. Who the hell would ever want some so called "cooler" from someone nobody knows anything about I mean come on how, what has he done for any of us and what experience has he got. Has he ever owned an LX let alone worked on one.....blah blah blah..........
......Huh!
.......WHO?
Oh hang on, this is, no its.... ahhhh its CTP with yet another quality product straight from the man himself. CAM. Jeez aren't I all red now ....(would love to see everyones face when this was sent through LOL Hahahahahaha! and yes for those that haven't clued on I'M JOKING
)
Hey Cam. MAAAAAAAAAAAAATE. WOW you don't mess around do you. Well done on the new product.
Guys that are interested. Not only will this help with the cooling of the PD setup you have during travel but more so when you come to a stop/standstill. A setup like this could be setup o as to remove heat from the core/engine manifold between runs at the track. Set the fans up on a switch, run the water pumps (ignition off) and it will take the heat out MUCH MICH faster than a non fan cooled setup.
For those running much taller and wider IC (without a fan) that see engine temps creep up especially when the A/C is running then this is for you. The larger units restrict airflow through your radiator/condensor raising engine temps/heat soak sapping power. From what I can see this unit takes up less than a 1/4 of the space and runs its own fans as well.... Definitely a worthwhile upgrade I would highly recommend to anyone running any time of PD or W-A system.
Well done Cam, great job, oh and if its ok I am would like to run this past a couple of "people" to see if they could use something like this with a certain kit as standard/upgrade. Let me know.

Yezz sir Mario. I got a fan case heading E's way late next week for you bud.
Wow, that's a deep discussion Jeff. But lets keep it simple, it's late. I've seen it more times than I can count (well actually, that's not true....hahaha, I can count them). Those EK cams have a ton of reversion. I've seen it so bad that it left tell tail markings halfway up the intake manifold runner. But that condition is not applicable on a blower ride IMO. I could be wrong, but someone is going to have to show me some proof and explain it to me.
But to answer your question. Ambeint temps play a major role in AIT's. The relationship is not linear though. I'm not certain exactly what you have for a heat exchanger in your manifold. But if it's what I've seen pictures of, you have two issues. One is the surface area at the port location is minimal. The other is the last time Andy posted pictures of one (which are gone now :P). It sure appeared that the core is not installed all the way to the bottom of the port and that allows some untreated air into the runner. Maybe Daniel can clear that one up for me.
Another killer is a simple fix. Plumb the damn thing cleanly. The stock KB kit (as an example) is crap with all those hard 90's. That really puts a major restriction and slows flow. Another problem is pump choice. A simple test for everyone with a blower is open the res and take a look at how it flows. If it looks like me taking a piss without my daily dose of Viagra well something is not right, give everything a once over and make certain all the lines are ran cleanly and eliminate any hard bends. If it looks like you turned on a garden hose, time to look elsewhere for the issue.
Ya right big guy, what am I gonna protect, your shin bone.
Thanks Mike.
Thanks a ton big D.
And yes we need to talk as there is about to be some major changes with me and CTP.
Now for a update. I got some great news tonight on some back to back testing with nothing else changed except my IC unit on a 3.6 KB build. Some of it was expected, some wasn't, but everything went stellar IMO. But I'll let the man who conducted the testing explain exactly what he found. Good or bad.
