Been away from LX forums for a while

I guess two maybe three months?? I dunno. My computer took a crap one night and lost all my pass worded sites. I remembered all my passwords but been too lazy to log in to my passworded web sites except facebook lol.Just keeping busy up until two weeks ago. I lost my job. Im sure by now 90% of BC is aware of the sawmill explosion in Prince George on April 23. Well unfortunately that was my employment. Luckily I was not on shift that night. I would have been a casualty had the explosion happened 24 hours earlier. Unfortunately two people died that night, and several others are in hospitals in the lower mainland and the island, with life threatening burns. 60% burnt and higher. Two of my co-workers with the least severe burns have been released from hospital in PG while one still remains in UHNBC. We pray we dont lose any more. So yeah..im unemployed now as well as 150 directly related employees of Lakeland Mills. Still in mourning as not only was one of the men killed in the fire my co-worker, he was my cousin as well. The mood is still sombre in PG as the reality of it all kicks in.

From what I have read, could have been a dust explosion............

    From News 1130:

Dust from cutting mountain pine beetle-infested timber has been suggested as a cause of the explosion, but Stewart says he'll wait for an investigation.

"We've been processing it for a number of years -- nine years -- and we have not had an incident," he notes. "To draw the conclusion that the mountain pine beetle is the cause of this incident, I would like to reserve that judgment until the investigation has been completed."

The BC government has ordered all provincial sawmills to undergo a safety check.

The Lakeland Mills sawmill explosion follows a blast in January at the Babine Forests Products mill in Burns Lake, north of Prince George, which killed two workers and injured 19 others.
    WorkSafeBC
says it is too early to say which caused either blast.

Sad news to hear..........hopefully things will turn around for you.......
