    Tranny problem!

Ok I need some help here. I have an '09 5.7 with a ProCharger and a few other basic mods (exhaust, etc.). I was driving to work this morning at 5:30 and I was in an unusually good mood. So I decided to drive like a maniac. I pulled out of my neighborhood with the car in 1st gear (its automatic, so I was in "manual mode, or whatever you would like to call it) and ESP disabled. As I put the pedal to the floor, the tires broke loose, RPMs climbed, then all of a sudden I heard a loud "thud" noise, and the car acted like it was in neutral. I gave it some gas and it revved but didnt move. I then placed it into neutral and back into drive with no luck. After pulling off to the side of the road, I put the car in park, turned it off, then back on, and into drive. At this point, it drove like nothing ever went wrong. What the hell happened?? I really home this doesnt mean my tranny is going. Ive only had the ProCharger on the car for a month or so. Someone help!

You found tranny limp mode!.....lol.....if you can set your rev limiter lower do so by a couple hundred rpm....the motor bounced off the tranny limiter ....the engine limiter should be set lower.

    Eric,

Say you use the Diablosport to set the TCM shift point to 6000 rpm and set the PCM rev limiter to 5800 rpm, will the car just bounce of the rev limiter and force a shift or will the engine go into a limp mode?

Sorry, I hope I'm not hyjacking the thread.

pcm set lower than the shift will just bounce off the limiter.
