Well for those that were at the Atco rental you know I took BigDaves car for a pass...well tried to anyway. After the burnout on the dry hop I as well as everyone else near the tree thought I snapped an axle. When we got the car to the pits and put it in the air it was obvious the axle hadn't snapped at the outer flange like usual, but had appeared to have snapped in the differential like Torred#1169's did.So much for changing it at the track.Frozen was nice enough to trailer Daves car to Chris'(Torred#1169) house.Chris had a set of spare axles and a 5.7 differential in case the axle stub did not want to come out.
The following morning about 9am BigDave,NHDave and myself showed up at Chris' house and got to work......well......it wasn't an axleApparently when I break something I don't take any shortcuts....enjoy the pics

Since Chris had the spare differential Dave was back up and running around noon Tuesday and was able to drive home.We loaded the rear in Daves car for a stop off at Shippan Auto for Tony to open it up and see what let loose(didn't want to get gear oil all over Chris' driveway)......I must say I am impressed.....lol.....now who wants a better 60' time?![]()
