    My 226 LSD rear end and halfshafts just came in

    I'm stoked. Busted a halfshaft about 2 weeks ago and lucked out that these parts just came available (Thanks to Jeff at allusamotorsports.com). I think it was about $1500 for entire new LSD rear end, upgraded axles, hubs and three-bolt coupler (I had a 4-bolt).

    Hopefully Bob at SVS R&D in Sacramento gets this in the car by Saturday morning when I'll be testing this setup out with some M/T Street ET cheater slicks during a test-n-tune at Sacramento Raceway. Weather looks good and hopefully the track is prepped (I heard they laid new concrete a couple weeks ago and it was kinda slippery after that).

    Anyways looks like my exhaust (Zoomers catback) will fit the new rear without any modification. I have a SRT8 and was shipped a 4-bolt coupler by accident so I had to get a RT driveshaft w/ 3-bolt coupler off a '05 Magnum RT at an auto dismantler in order to get the car running by Saturday. Kinda sucks but I guess that is typical when you try something new.

    Anybody know if the RT driveshafts and couplers are as strong as the SRT8 ones?

    Thanks for the reassurance I think I've only heard of one fail so far. I have a place nearby that can fabricate one if necessary. Wonder how much that would run.

    Interesting tidbit for those expecting a 226 differential ... it was topped off with fluid when it arrived. Kinda weird.

    i know a four bolt flange can definately take more than a three bolt atleast thats my opinion.
    if your not going for really high horse power or torque i think its fine just dont understand why dodge went from a four to a three bolt flange on the driveshafts

    You will be fine, just Rember if your slicks don't want to spin over durning your burn out, don't force it, I have 2 broken shafts and 3 - 3 finger donuts that I distroyed.
