HP Trans Is there a diffrance between Venders?

I have been contaplateing upgradeing my trans as its the last week link in my set up.

With my exsperance with FRI, We were provied a parts list of the phyisical parts that are diffrent between the big boy AMG trans and ours from a Mercedes contact.

I did a part by part list and there parts add up quick $$$

Any way Im leaning more towards Bill's trans, becouse He rocks, And I love his VB.

But I have heard that some High HP trans are only rebuilt stockers with better/or more cluches added.

Are input / output shafts / etc replaced in these HP Trans.. Any one know?

Im not trying to start anything, I know that there are a ton of fast guys out there running these HP trans and have not broken any, but will all my bad luck as of late brakeing High HP parts lately, I want to make sure my $$$ is getting the most strength it can.

    Thanks for any input.

Bills carries a 1 year Warranty! You would have to speak to him about the rest.

You know that's a valid question but unfortunately it will probably turn to crap. Mike, I would call them and go with your gut...

You know, unfortunately you're probably right.

Anyways, I'll give my input. I can't answer all the technical questions. I can only tell you about my experience. I bought a SHR transmission about a year ago. I've put over 10K miles on it so far. I probably have around 100 passes on it. I'm at the track a lot. It drives and shifts just like the day I put it in. Even the 3-4 shift is rock solid.

Right now, I'm spraying a 300 shot. I've made several 10 second passes and I've never had to pull it out and send it back for a new one.

Good luck in your decision making. You'll get a lot of positive feedback about both vendors. Like Jim said, call them both and decide.
