Help!!! Mopar tcm- no auto stick

Just installed the mopar performance TCM. Went to drive to set adaptives, vehicle only shifts from first to 2nd gear and nothing after that, also tried to use auto stick but wont downshift nor up shift and indicator just stays in drive. Any thoughts?

Have you changed your rear end to a SRT rear? If so you have to adjust the gear ratio? Have you done anything else lately?

The only time ive heard of this is when an R/T steps up to a SRT rear.........

If I'm not mistaken, any new TCM needs a StarScan to code it properly to the ECM. If a local speed shop doesn't have one, you'll need to visit a dealer.

I actually work at a dealer, not mech shop though and originally asked about if it need coded and was told it didn't . reading over the instruction sheet it i don't see any thing that says that either. it basically says to install tcm, hook up scan to to verify any codes and erase, then to start adaption procedure using a scan tool and to drive to set adaptives. which i did unless i'm missing something like you need to set into a addaption mode with scanner or somthing like that. then again i could have also been givin wrong info at work too, wouldn't be the first time.

You definitely dont have to use a StarScan. Myself and plenty of others have installed MTCM without having to go to the dealer. It's my understanding that you can use a StarScan to set the adaptives without having to manually drive it and let it learn on its own.

I'm really bummed that you're having an issue. The MTCM is DEFINITELY one of my favorite performance mods. Its too bad they dont just come with them stock. Im sure one of the others will chime in soon and you will be churping second gear in no time.

ok heres a shot in the dark, could it be that the tcm is only for rwd vehicles and won't work with the awd?

You need to hook up your Diablo and change the gear ratio to 3.06. The AWD has the same gear ratio as the SRT8. The MTCM is factory programmed to a RWD R/T.

Once this is done it WILL work on an AWD!

Token GOOD call on that. I dont think any one has tried an MTCM in an AWD w/ the predators having the gear selection.
