    3.73 Geared Getrag at the Track

    Hey,
    Just posting up for those folks wondering about the Getrag as well as not sure of gears! I did the 3.73 Geared Getrag swap in my '08 challenger last year...as well as the mods listed in my Sig. Here's a run my Bro captured on vid and I thought I would share it with you. I'm running on 20" Nitto Drag Radials which really take some heating to get the best out of them! Its time for me to try another tire.....anyone out there that can help me?
    Anway sorry for the poor vid....but for you track guys.....notice the cars position on the track during shift points!
    I should probably get a line lock soon too!

    I only had (2) runs on the car before the swap it was the last track day in '08....and ran a 13.20. I think I could have worked it down a bit more with some more runs.....but I had a winter build plan to stick too!

    Hard to tell... did you hit 4th just before the 1320? What RPM's at the 1320?

    You could probably use a set of the hoosier 28"x17" slick's there was a group buy on, With all that gear you could put these tire's to good use! You just wouldn't be allowed to race in street tire bracket's. Next sticky tire in your needed size would probably be the M+H 28"x17" DR's. Good luck!

    Yes, And its comfirming the math I did prior to the swap. Tires are 28.7" Diam. so I'll top out of 3rd at about 105 +change and hit 4th at about 4650 RPM and trap at about 4850. Still right in the power for my car which the dyno pulls confirmed. I'm pretty happy!
    The numbers will change working to the higher RPM's....as I add more ponies!!! Drawing RPM and Track speed to the left!

    What did you change over the winter that was differrent than the last track day 08

    My 60' was 1.820.....still had a bit of wheel spin! I'm flashing the converter!

    Did you have the 5 speed 3.06 before? Does this setup work for an 07 Charger R/T, it looks like a winner to me.

    Hey boss, can you provide slips (or at least all the info) before and after. Track, dates and time of day would be killer too. There is no way of gaging anything from a vid. Thnx.
