    when i had these on the bench, i flipped the power switch on the power supply and the control box remained on, so yes, you should be able to put it to a switched "key on" 12v source.

    Is RTV used to re-seal the lens and the rest of the fixture?

    Clean all the old glue and buy 3m window weld in a 5/16 size. It's 25 bucks for three boxes of it.. Didn't even use one box. No condensation and it's been about 2 months with going through humidity, rain, and heat

    so far im getting random bouts with condesation. i have to replace one bucket because its coming to pieces as we speak. the other one though, not sure why. it was great until recently. im gonna throw a bead of sealent around the edge of the lens, then shoot some more red RTV around where the projectors stick out in the back. the RTV made it easy to open one of the buckets back up to replace a halo though, not sure what the 3M stuff would do.
