    Seriously Frustrated!

So, you guys know I have been having fitment trouble out of this stupid Carbon By Design hood. Spent 2 hours today screwing with it again. So I call them, and after 30 minutes of "did you try this" and "could it be this" crap, I finally just said forget it. The only reason I bought from them was because everyone and their mom over on chargerforums gave them praise and their pricing was good. Every corner of it fits, except one...and it honestly looks like the mold was screwed. The front right corner sits up, which catches air, which moves going down the road. Sorry for the rant, Im just a little miffed at the whole situation. No point to this thread, except to warn people against buying from them and for me to vent.

Well i am sure you have already tried everything but if we bring some tools to the next GTG I can check it out with you cuz my hood was raised in the front right corner at first and I got it fixed now. At one point I had the rear of the passenger side very low just to lower the front and that stopped the wind from getting under it but after reading dozens of threads on different forums I did get mine fixed. Let me know if you want to try to fix it in March or maybe we can get on the phone and I can talk you thru what I did on mine.

Yeah man thanks, I might have to holler at you tomorrow for sure, Im fed up with this thing today. It fits great everywhere except that one. I thought maybe I would raise the back and that might tilt it down but no, the front just sits up even higher, like its bent or something.

Yeah I did the same and had the same reaction. Then I lowered the back down and the front did come down but the back was way off level. I work from home and don't have anything planned for tomorrow so I'll PM you my cell phone number. Just call me when you got time to deal with it.

Could always have a tree "fall" on the hood.

Raising the opposite rear will lower the front. Putting shims under the rear hinge bolt will lower the opposite front corner. The front corner is always noticeable if out of alignment. A very slight raised edge on the back corner is almost never seen

if you know anyone with a body shop have your car sitting in the oven for a little while with some weight on that corner. should cause the hood to reshape itself. worked great for a carbon hood i had on a previous car.

So Carbon By design's idea was to dremel the latch receiver so it will sit lower in the car. Which pulls the corners down to where they should be, but makes the center sit 1/2" lower than the fascia. Looks like my car is biting its lip

Tell me you didn't already do this!! man call me tomorrow and we will see what we can figure out. Did you try moving the latch all the way to the side of the hood that is raised? When I did this the side that was raised lowered and hte other side raised and I had to adjust it to get it perfectly level. Then I lowered the hood catch all the way down to pull both sides down.
