I want these eyelids for the headlights but MJ says they're fugly... what do you guys think? They are made out of the oem mopar headlight cover. Top can be tinted like you see here so turn signal can show thru for legality or can be color matched like the bottom lid. The LED strip is also removable.... Yea or Nea?

hmm, depends on your defination of big money.. it's under $500..

welding, filling and paint about $350 most places.. I have the lids, I think I have 3 sets left.. you can have one if you want..

Oh, that's much better than I thought...not sure if I would do it on my oem hood but would those work on say an rksport hi rise?

is the rksport fiberglass?

if so then you need to have them glassed in.. the ones I have are aluminum as the OEM hood is aluminum..

probably cheaper and easier to glass than TIG weld..

I just happen to be an ace tig welder. Carbon, Stainless, Aluminum, Titanium, Chromalloy....ect.

the lids, looks like it's squinting, some kind of asian 300 looking thing going on.

Top is OK but the bottom ones......not so much!

Ditch the bottoms but the top I like either molding into th ehood or on the light itself

Not a fan PP...ruins the flow of the headlights and how they are laid out..go halo/led type and forget the lids. The cool thing about the lights on those is how they are square on one end and then round on the other..getting rid of the rounded outter light ruins it for me.
My 2 cents..although, they arent horrible. Would still look good. I just dont think it would be an inprovement. Now those halos MrIncredible posted...boner
