A big thing people do is cryo rotors. Apparently they have extreme resistance to warping.

Definitely sounds like the rotors are warped. I picked up some ebc slotted rotors and hawk performance pads about a year ago and haven't looked back.

Well you have manage to do 1 of 2 things.

Warp them or deposited pad material on them.

Warping is an easy issue to fix, you will have to replace them,

If its pad material you just need to burn it off with a brake bedding session.

Given you drive the mountains you have a higher change of warping do to heat up and then clamping at a stop, this can only be corrected via driver habits.

When you are down hill braking try to get stopped a bit before you need to a slowly roll forward with no brake pressure, use the trans to hold the car if you can

Keep your foot off the brake after a long or hard braking zone.

Slotted or drilled rotors wont help you out all that much and could lead to worse braking performance depending on the product selection.

I personally like the stock parts, they worked very well for me until I went with the take off Brembos.

EBC is a reasonable priced upgrade. Brembo and KSport are the most expensive and comprehensive kits available.

Summit Racing now has drilled and slotted rotors for cheap$, I had the same problem. About 3 months before warping came back with original rotors. New drilled and slotted for 1 month so far. It could be the pad upgrade but they do stop better. If you purchase, make sure you get the correct diameter. My first order was too small. My RT had upgraded suspension and braking from factory.
