    Which Hood for BSHAW27?

    Hey Guys I need your opinions. I am trying to decide whether to get a Carbon Fiber SRT hood or a fiberglass Cuda style hood for my car. I just got back from the local shop that makes the carbon fiber hood and I took some pics of it sitting on my car so here they are:








    This is the other option I am considering it is an AAR CUDA design hood made by VFN fiberglass in Illinios. This option will cost a bit more because of shipping and paint.




    Right now I am leaning towards the Carbon Fiber hood. I really liked the look of it and having a local company makes it easier so if I have any fitment issues I can just make them take it back. I am scared of all the horror stories I have read online about fiberglass hoods not fitting correctly.

    Get the first one...don't like the cuda. The cuda would make your car unique though. (Fitment looks superb)

    I would do the Carbon Fiber for all reasons listed above. Having them local is sweet. How much for the hood and install?

    Do you have ANY carbon fiber on your ride? Gonna leave it all carbon or partial paint. I've got mega $$ tied up in CF....so the CF would be my choice. Style points for the cuda even if you gotta paint it.

    I'd go CF without a second thought about it ...

    I am not gonna paint it right away. But if I decide to paint it later I will definitely leave part of it unpainted to show the carbon fiber through. If you really wanted one you could sell your hood and have enough money to buy a carbon fiber. Those OEM hoods sell for alot of money!

    I am 90% sure that I want the carbon fiber one. Part of me wants to drive back over there and tell them to throw it on right now but gotta at least wait till I get paid tonight! lol

    Only problem with selling my hood is that there is not a big market for yellow hoods. Do I need to ride up to Ktown and drag you down there to go get the hood tommorrow?

    I like the look of the CF SRT hood, the cuda hood reminds me to much of my Camaro SS hood I had when I owned my Camaro

    Maybe I need the inspiration! Yeah the yellow hood would sell for a little less but I am sure you could still get 1k for it. The black ones in good condition sell for 1200 all day and sometimes people buy those and still have to paint them! But don't tell my wife you would sell me yours she doesn't like the Carbon fiber and wants me to get the OEM one! lol
