just an FYI, a 'verter is one of the most important pieces of the performance combo. It allows the car to take full advantage of the engine's torque curve. It's just not possible to have a 'verter that's gonna make the most out of your n/a head cam set up, then work optimally for a supercharger build.
If I were you, and I would go with what you know for sure you'll be doing. Complete your build, hit the track and datalog, then hit the dyno and send that info to Bill to get a 'verter that is as closely matched to your build as possible.
Then when you are putting your supercharger build together, do the same thing, build, track, then dyno, then have Bill build your 'verter. You'll get the most out of your money, time and car that way.
Good luck with your build.

The Old: Stock 5.7 Bottom End | Lead Foot | 11.861 @ 112.76 1.63 60'
The New: Forged Arrington 6.1 | MMPG Top End | Paramount Drivetrain | 11.67
That's awesome except having to pay for labor..what would be the worst that can happen adding a supercharger?
Stock 5.7
You can always do it yourself.
The cost of the labor is negated by the $100 swap deal from Bill. You just saved $750 right there.
It does suck to have to swap 'em out but you'll be so much happier with your car.
The worst that can happen is your car drives and performs like crap because your 'verter is locking up waaaay too soon as the torque curves are so different.
To put it into perspective for you. With the wrong 'verter in my car, my new build ran a 12.8 with a properly matched Dominator, my current PB is 11.99. Big difference. Not everyone sees such a difference, but it is so important.
There is no good corner to cut when it comes to your converter. Do it right or run slower.
Good luck.
Great advice here! And you can't beat the exchange program. Bill is a stand up guy indeed!

Well I installed the converter last night and I must say I am very happy. The car cruises around town with the feel of a stock converter still in it when indeed I put a 3600 rpm stall in. I can't wait to try it at the track this year.
PS.
I left the stock converter draining all night so i'll get it boxed up and sent back to you today.
Thank You,
Mark
