    Tires on Police hemi's?

    What is the popular brand and size most used on LEO hemi's?

    Goodyear Eagle RS-A P225/60R18 99V I have these on my AWD Charger and I'm not that happy with them. I need to find a stickier tire.

    Our state troopers swear by the Goodyear Ultragrips, granted I live in snow country. Not sure about the size they are running on the Chargers, I may be able to check in the morning and chime in.

    The factory installed tire on the LX cop cars is the Continental ContiProContact, P225/60 R18 99V. These have a good treadwear rating of 500, far better then the Conti's used on civilian LX'es. 2009 Civilian models with AWD are using these tires now.

    I wish thats what my AWD came with. Instead I had ContiTouringContact Without Conti*Seal and later found out that Continental has a class action lawsuit against those tires. I only got about 10,000 miles on my set.

    Dunno about the Hemi's, but most OPP cars around here run on the Goodyear Eagle Ultragrip GW3's.

    Conti's from the factory (good), Goodyears after they wore out (gooder), cheapwads at procurement just bought Firestone Firehawks (bad tire, no sticky!!) We're gonna take the procurement weenies out on the track with Goodyears and Firehawks and see how THEY like the ride....
