    Canceling pcs orders?

Is there a way that i would be able to cancel my pcs orders? I re.enlisted about a month ago for my first time and at the time i wanted to go elsewhere but i have had a change of heart being i have so much going for me being i just got denied getting my e5 early due to me pcsing. Well it will be even longer for me to get my e5 where im going to basically having to start on a fresh slate again. I also have a girlfriend that is pregnant and this would put me further from them (we dont live together, two seperate states). Getting back to my main question is there a way i can cancel my pcs orders so that i will be able to stay at my current duty assignment. If so what do i need to do.

The only things I know of for options are to

Call your branch manager and ask nicely for them to be deleted and let him/her know the circumstances.
I dont know your MOS, but Being your an E4, the chance of that working is slim. Although if the PCS was a re-enlistment option you may be able to waive option through you Branch.

Find another E4 same MOS that is not due to PCS see if they are willing to go instead. Basiclly trade assignments

Only other option I know is a career killer... Its call a declination of orders. Basically once during a military career you are allowed to decline PCS orders. It goes on record (dont look good for promotion to senior NCO) and there is nothing that says your branch manager wont give you the same PCS orders in 6 months in which case you have to go anyway or decline and be barred from re-enlistment.

Hope that gives you a place to start looking.

Unfortunately, Branch can do nothing since it was a reenlistment option. Only HRC Retention can adjust the contract. However, you can talk to retention NCO and tell them you have changed your mind and no longer want to go to that installation. Be careful with this option, as you will no longer have of choice of duty station (they just won't pcs you to that particular one), as you will loose the opportunity to select your assignment since YOU voided the contract (but only for this 1 enlistment period).
