I was a marksmanship instructor on the navy side which from what i read is pretty similar to the 3P0X1B...and i saw there looking for people, prior service to...and i need a job...looking for info before i go busting into a recruiters office and get fed blasphemy.

No planks for me, but i did get a foot fungus from the Belleauwood in 99' that never went away. Only thing i have to remember it by before they turned it into a reef.

You cant just go in to combat arms. You have to go to tech school for Security Forces first then you go to tech school for combat arms. Security Forces is a ****ty career field.

Yup, well i talked to em today and i guess there only looking for K-9 handlers and CATM....luckily i qualify for the CATM areas, i guess. so going back tomorrow to try and do eet

So Security Forces is basically a military law enforcement training school and then you go into a specialty ie: k-9, combat arms, etc?

As you may already know security forces are one of those ground support career fields that deploy alot--more than most.

Job would require you to relocate to Illinois, live in a remodeled farm house across the street from the range, oversee all kinds of crap teach classes, do some maint etc. Might also include some lobbying which would include travel to our wonderful state capital, with reasonable expenses.
Oh, and unlimited range time 50 point 50 yard pistol range with 25 yard turning targets, 30 point 300 yard rifle range with target butts, a 10 point 100 yard bench rest range, and a 20 point 100 meter all position range. Two single / manual traps.
No garage at the moment, but we do have an pretty empty 40 x 120 pole building next to the farm house.

Security Forces (combat arms in the AF)! That's a first for me. Well I am a recruiter in the Army right now and we have a lot of Airmen trying to go from blue to green. Just going to give you guys a heads up now that if thats what you really want be prepared to go Army Combat Arms (i.e. Infantry, Cav Scout, etc.) It is getting a lot harder to do blue to green so good luck to all my sister services trying to cross over from the blue to the green. Army Strong!
