    This is Madness...

    So, I need to find more inexpensive things to do to my car... I've never smoked crack before, but I suspect modding is about as addictive.

    I've had my car for 12 days.

    Windows Tinted
    Blinker Bulbs changed
    Foglights ordered
    Resonators Chopped.


    I was thinking about doing the lower radiator baffle mod, but I don't exactly know if it's worth doing with stock intake. Any ideas? Oh, and any other cheap/free modification ideas are MORE THAN WELCOME!

    I had nitrous and full exhust on the third day I owned it.

    Fast easy mods 180 thermostat, take off the ugly side molding. I have a cold air intake I can sell ya for dirty cheap 40$ plus shipping, Or you can pick it up at springfling if your going.

    You can cut the EGR tube 1 3/4 inces. If you don't have auto headlights, you can do that...do a search on it. The first thing I did after the EGR tube is cut a hole in the bottom of my air box & drop in a K & N filter until I could get an intake for the Plum. I painted my engine cover myself. The paint wasn't free...but it was not very expensive. I also painted the fuse box cover & whatever else I could take off the car & paint.

    Sevenernine I think Plum Krazy is baiting you, cause mods dont stop there. It goes on and on. I have contracted a virus from her cause of themod bug. Be careful, very very careful. It can get addicting.

    Geeze I must be slacking! I had mine for a few weeks before I left town on business and all I've done is replace the tires.

    BTW Alex, what's your opinion on getting your resonators removed? I am thinking very seriously about having it done, but I don't want to regret it afterward. I keep hearing about the dreaded "drone".

    That was the first thing I did to get good sound. Drone? What drone? My Plum sounded GOOOOOD with the reso delete. NO REGRETS!

    Keep in mind that I am from a small, moderately redneck town, and as such grew up with large loud vehicles.


    I can honestly say that i don't notice a consistent 'drone'. At very low RPM's (accelerating from like 5-15) there's somewhat of a drone, but it fades out.

    And, even then, if you have your vents blowing or any music on at all, you can't even hear it... or at least i couldn't. The place I took it to charged me a whopping 30 bucks, and now I can actually hear her running. :P






    I was going to build the frankentake, but since 8yourm5 has one he'll sell me for 40 bucks, I can't really beat that.


    And when I get my taxes back, I think I'm going to get a chip. You know... for the MPGs...not the power...





    I have autoheadlights already, and I'm not sure what moldings you're talking about.


    Oh, and what's an EGR tube?



    Poor Boggart... Little does he know he's gonna have to help me with all these things.
