The Show & Shine this Saturday(food drive)

The Show & Shine is to start at 7.00 pm, but we as a group we usally show up a bit earlier, and thats great. Now lets do something a little different this week!!

I saw in the local news paper that Durhams food banks are running very very low on food at this time. Lets see what we can to show our support for those in our community that need a helping hand. Lets make this week our major food drive to help bring up thier supply of food!! Bring as much as you can comfortly afford to!!

Tink Charger had come up with a great idea that we should not only give to the food banks drive, but to put a tag on the items showing that we are supporting them. This idea is great, but may be hard to do in a timely way if we are able to be very generous. May be I can do up a letter on behave of the Durham Diehards.

What I suggest is that we all bring what ever we can, take it to our normal meeting area, then load it all in one or two cars and take to the food drive area as a huge single donation.

As a group we can make a differance!!!

Ya thats the idea, they are real low on food at this time, and we give a real strong showing with a big donation. So once we have all the donation loaded in a car, then take it up front. Say around 8:00.

Too bad our tickets didn't pay off, but the food went to a good cause...what happened to everyone else? Thanks Steve and Kelly for your efforts, it seems our three bags were really appreciated !
