What could I sell my RT for?

So I get home from the M&G last night and I have two phone messages from a couple of dealers. I have two great offers. One on an '08 Charger SRT8 in Torred and one a '09 Challenger SRT8 in Black (I love my Torred on the Charger but I don't like it on the Challenger). The deal on the Charger is outstanding! The Challenger deal is very good also. I was going to keep the RT but with the economy in the shape it is in I would sell the RT to get either car with a very tiny payment ($125 a month) opposed to a payment of 5 or 6 hundred.

The big question is what should I expect to get for the RT? Any one have any idea what I could get? I have 30K on her in the 28 months its on the road. The car is as close to show room condition as you can get.

After considering how much more money I have to pump into the RT performance wise with heads, cam, tunning, half shafts and voiding my warranty It's almost a wash to just step up to a SRT with the prices right now and have a brand new car.

The other question is which car do I want. I really think the Charger is a better looking car than the Challenger (IMO) but the two door vs 4 door is playing a part.

In the hands of the right person, with those mods, who actually appreciates what you've done to the car, I think you could get somewhere in the ballpark of 25K for it, although Private Party book puts it around 22K.

I would think 16-18k, the mods don't help. I think you would be better returning it back to stock and selling the parts seperatly.

Ahh...but don't forget about the 6.1 with Kooks longtubes..... BTW she doesn't want me to paint the car...she just wants a BB SRT Charger with Corsa, Kooks, and Staggered 22" wheels with black centers.

The Dealer in NY offered me 23K so I guess that's not to bad in this market. The mods only help if your dealing with some one who is into our cars and knows what they would cost if had to do them himself as some as Higshemi stated.

Yea I hear ya. I wouldn't mind eating a little bit of what I put in it but I'll keep it before I give it away. The Deal on the 2008 Charger SRT8 is so tempting.

There not doing so well out here in California but what it other than the oil companies? I just spoke to a guy last tuesday that bout a R/T thats just about like yours by the sound of it andhe paid 13k at a dealership. I don't know about private sales? Blue Book says to deduct $500.00 on every mod done to the car.

Wow!13k lol! I would keep her before going below 20k never mind 13K. I came close to selling my car last year to step up and now I'm kicking myself in the butt for not doing it! I had a guy offer me 30K but didn't really want to part with car at the time. Another guy up here sold his Daytona to a dealer outright for 25K around the same time before the economy tanked. Timing is every thing!
