    Major Club Announcement......

For those who could not make it to our coffee meet last night I just wanted to fill you in on what is going on with the Club.

Long story short I've been having problems getting control of my domain names and websites from my website developer. Unfortunately he has the sites on his server and I am unable to get anything done with moving forward on the Club LX website. It is with this in mind that I have decided to change the name of the Club.

I am doing this for two reasons....

    1. In order to move ahead with a Club Website before this years show season

    2. To more accurately describe the direction the Club will take in 2009.

With this in mind I am renaming Club LX to :

The "Modern Mopar Club of America"

I believe this name more accurately describes our memebrship and the fact that we welcome Challengers and Jeeps into the Club, not just LX cars.

Once our site is built my plan is to nationally advertise the club and begin to set up Chapters across the US. That of course is a long term goal. Our focus now will be to get a site up and running and to build membership.

I will be asking the Admins here to rename this sub forum with our new name as soon as possible.

Fred and I look forward to our Club rebirth and the up coming Show Season.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to pm me.

    Thanks for your support,

    Ernie

    I like it!

I think the "LX" portion could almost be a deterrent to Jeep owners or Challenger owners and since they're just as welcome as any other of these cars, the name of the club should incorporate that. MMCA

Very cool name. Plus the whole deal with the website control (or lack of it) makes it an easier decision. Best to do it now rather than half way through the show season.

I'm liking the name a lot. I would definitly be interested in starting up a CT Chapter. I actually founded a CT chapter of a national Mits Galant car club about 8 years ago when I used to own one. Keep me posted as I'm always down to meet and talk with fellow car enthusiats.

We would certainly like to see a CT chapter. When you can get together 15-20 people please let us know.

Also, let me know when you have some cards made up and the website is up and running. It would easier to recruit new members if I had something to show them.

I'm gald the name change is being well recieved. Joe (Led Sled) is going to help me design a kick ass logo for the new name and on Monday I will be talking to Chris my new website designer and start the ball rolling on that.

Hopefully in a few weeks we'll have something to show everyone. Our first show is April 26th (Chic Filet) in Howell so I would like to be online by then...
