Dealer wants me to buy Charger SRT8 bad!

In my sickness going around trying to find a Challenger SRT8 and Dodge then pulling the EP pricing off the Challenger SRT8s I haven't talked to any Dealers in the last week and a half. So I get a call at work today from one the Dealers I was dealing with offering me this: Brand New 2008 Charger SRT8 with 12 miles on it. Torred with everything but Option 3 (Nav) but has Uconnect. Sticker is $42,900 and they gave me a buy price of $32,700! Would you do it?

LOL! Yea I know, my sons and I have an appointment with them Saturday morning at 10am. They even faxed me a buy out sheet showing the numbers. The guy I had buying my car couldn't get the financing so I'll have to see what the Dealer wants to do. I had one Dealer offer 23K. I have to see how it works out.

See post 4. I have to see how it all works out. Thing is I doubt you will ever be able to to buy a new SRT at this number again. Even the 09s are cheap at around 37K.

dealers offering 23k for the trade and then 33k for the car .. you should be blowing the salesman as you sign the papers ...

You already got so much into your car you really think the srt8 is going to be much of an upgrade for 10 thousand. Just asking?

Grip rockers, tinted tails, front and rear emblems and more would come of the R/T and go on the SRT. Hood not to sure yet.

Do heads and cam and blow away SRTs all day. Cheaper than 10k but of course not "SRT".

If I were to do the performance mods to my RT the right way your talking 5 to 7K. (heads, cam, custom tune, converter, shafts) and voiding the warranty on a car with 30k miles, and still not having the braking system and other performance upgrades the SRT has. So for another 3K I get a brand new car, don't have to do any engine work (I'd be happy with 420HP). All I'd have to do is the catback (won't need headers), CAI, tint and maybe replace the SRT wheels down the road. With what I can take of my RT can go right on the SRT as far as appearance mods. If I can sell my car for say 26 your talking about 7K.

That is why I now have an SRT, It seemed with all the mods to my RT a stock SRT was what I was building up to, go for and don't look back if you can swing it.....I did wheels, cam, Cat-back, CAI and a bunch of 402 stuff to my SRT. The SRT kills My RT by a long shot!!

BUY the Challenger!! Especially if they are giving you that kind of money on trade for yours. Cealers will deal on the price, believe me I just bought an 09 SRT8 Challenger. I owned 4 chargers, 2 were Daytonsa and 2 SRT8s. The Challenger makes my heart go racing every time I admire it sitting in my garage.
