Gents, I haven't spent a dime on my car yet. All I've done is wring my hands and desperately post questions here on LXforums to try and get a handle on how I'm gonna build my car.
So a couple days ago, I get a PM from Tim, saying "gimme a call." Now anyone else, I woulda thought, "oh, great... if I call them, I'm gonna get the whole high pressure sales spiel, 'buy this, buy that, etc.'", but there's one thing I've been able to tell about Tim just by reading his posts: he's the real deal and ain't telling ya to call him just so he can sell some product.
So I called him today, and he spent 1.5 hours doing nothing but answering my questions about every single thing I could throw at him. AND I MEAN EVERYTHING! The man has more patience... And to top it off, NOT ONCE during the entire conversation did he *ever* bring up one of his products. In fact, when I brought up the fact that I was still trying to decide on his turbo setup or an SC, he flat out told me that he'd rather see me get a SC than a turbo if it was right for my application. I honestly think that Tim has forgotten more about forced induction than I'll ever know.
Tim is an *EXTREMELY* knowledgeable resource here on LXForums, and I just gotta give a huge shout out of thanks for his patience and his willingness to share his knowledge.
I *will* be buying an iEMS3 system and water/meth system from him, but that is entirely *my* decision, as he never even brought it up once during the conversation. In fact, he's convinced me to buy a Diablo tuner, even though I'd been dead-set against it prior to talking to him. And no, Tim doesn't sell Diablo units. (Maybe you should, Tim!)
Anyway, thanks to Tim, I pretty much have my build sorted out...and it's gonna rock.
NCTS.... FTW!
