    GOOD: Billet Technology pink parking thingy

    What a suprise, I received my Billet Tech parking fix today! only it wasnt pink? BT allways comes through!

    Is there a TSB for this part? If so and I buy the BT one and take it to my dealer will they change it out under warranty? Sorry for such dumb questions, but I am an idiot today! LOL

    No TSB.

    This is not a Dodge/Chrylser part. This is a BETTER aftermarket part that replaces a poorly designed factory part.

    Keep an eye out... I'm sure someone will do a "how to" on the replacement of this part. {ahem}

    ...and as a side note: a TSB is not a warranty point; it is a service letter to communicate remedies for post production issues. The dealer may elect either to apply a TSB fix under warranty, or not (their call).

    '06 Go ManGo Daytona #3586 AirHammer-JBA header&Hi-flow cats-Borla125, Diablo, SAMCO orange hoses, Auto headlights&Fogs 6k HID. Shroud is a fresh air scoop, block heater, Cop rims for winter, Daytona floor mats, hood shocks, cabin filter, RER Nav, calipers painted & labeled, blinker mod, leather center console, SRT8 hood/facia, all decals removed painted flat black in its place, F1 ceramic 35 tint, Paddle shifter.

    Thanks Bob! I knew this was a better part than the pink one, just wanted to know if I could get my dealer to replace the pink one with this one under warranty. I have read a how to on the Charger forum I think, but frankly, automotive work is hard on a manicure, and I don't like messing mine up! LOL. Besides that I am old and lazy! I appreciate your reply too because I wasn't aware that TSB's weren't automatically covered under warranty. Seems to me that if the mfr knows there is a problem and sends out a TSB, then they should automatically cover that under warranty, but alas that is probably part of the reason I don't rule the world!

    I hadn't thought of using the replacement part in combination with a warranty repair - but then I remembered that what the dealer does is replace the entire shifter mechanism - they don't bother replacing just the pink piece - they just take out that whole box and replace it.

    My shifter was setting on my desk this morning when I came into the office. Inside was a prototype thingy and in a bag in the same box was a production one

    I guess I have one now for my original shifter?
