On 10/06/08 I placed an order for catch can braided stainless lines with red/blue fittings as well as the Breather line, matching description for the CAI.
The UPS shipping tracking information showed a 10/10/08 delivery date.
At Noon on 10/10/08 I clicked on the tracking info to see if it was already at the front door or still in route... I see a note on the UPS Sytem:
A CORRECT STREET NUMBER IS NEEDED FOR DELIVERY. UPS IS ATTEMPTING TO OBTAIN THIS INFORMATION
Grrrr, call UPS - nice customer service person puts the correct address in, 1335 Blah St, not the 1225 Blah St. I check the invoice, and they have it correct there...hmmm
UPS Brings the item back on Monday 10/13/08.
Open the item and realize I goofed (not BMC's fault). I ordered the 6.1 kit rather than the 5.7 kit. Crap - call BMC and figure out what my options are.
Meanwhile I noticed that of the 6 blue/red fittings on the 3 lines, there are numerous scuffs/scrapes on the colored coatings.
I called BMC on 10/14 and place the order for the 5.7 kit and determine I will ship back the 6.1 kit for a full refund (minus the $11 shipping).
At that point, twice, I stated the issue with the previous shipping goof and make sure 1335 is the address, not 1225, etc...
I also mentioned the fitting scuffs and scrapes.
I finally get an order confirmation and shipping information that shows the order was shipped on 10/21 - a full week later.
Should arrive on 10/24 - except this morning, about 30 minutes ago....I see on the UPS tracking site:
A CORRECT STREET NUMBER IS NEEDED FOR DELIVERY. UPS IS ATTEMPTING TO OBTAIN THIS INFORMATION
Called UPS - again - and looks like I'll get this stuff on 10/27 unless I drive and pick it up from UPS - which he isn't sure will be possible.
Again, another $11 shipping, plus I have to ship the 6.1 stuff back.
I'll be anxious to see the quality of the fittings on this set. I'll post pics in a bit and conclude this diatribe of getting this stuff.
No axe to grind against BMC here, just very displeased with the way this transaction has transpired. Edits forthcoming as this concludes. I simply hope the product this time is up to snuff when it finally arrives...and that my shipment back to them (to the proper address) gets refunded in a more timely manner.
