October 2009 Photo Contest Winner - novawagonmaster

I am writing this about an hour after I first looked at the results. It took me that long to find words. As I went through my daily routing getting ready for work this morning, I just kept saying "Wow, I can't believe it!".

Thank you everybody. Not just those who chose my photo, but to the other entrants. It's you guys that continue to raise the bar each month and push me to go out and take creative photos. Without all of you, I would still be taking pictures of my car in my driveway. Thanks for chasing me out of my own yard to find more entertaining places to shoot

Here are a few of the other pics I took this month. It was tough to narrow these down to one selection, but that is all part of the fun.

OK, on to the next theme. Let's call this one "Planes, trains, and NOT automobiles". I realize not everybody will have planes or trains to shoot. So lets make the "NOT automobiles" part to include things like boats, tanks, tractors, combines, ships, helicopters, or any other mechanical motivation that you think might fit into this theme. I liked that one too, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't just the halos getting the votes

I love the "sweet" one. you ever take bad pics?? this things like being up against christine.

so is this month supposed to have the LX in it at all??

Thank you. Yes, I take LOTS of bad pictures. If I remember correctly, I took about 150 photos in the cemetery that morning over a 1-hour period. Out of those 150 shots, I tossed 125 immediately after I saw them on the computer screen. The remaining 25 were all decent, with 5 of them really standing out making my choice difficult.

As for the new theme...yes, the pic has to have your car in it, too
