First, let me start by saying thank you to all of the voters!
November’s theme was an excellent idea! Lucky for me, I live just a short drive away from a former U.S. Airforce base, in Atwater, CA, that houses the Castle Air Museum. So, on Veteran’s day, the family and I decided to take a drive on over there to see if they might let me take my car in and get some photos with some of the vintage aircraft they have.
Upon pulling into the parking lot, I see an SR-71 Blackbird sitting by its self off to the side of the parking lot. I have always loved the SR-71 Blackbird and decided that since it was easy to get close to aircraft, this would be the only plane I would take photos of with the Magnum. I did manage to get a few raised eyebrows, especially when I back up to it. Anyway, here are some other pictures I took that day:
As for next months theme, I am still going to need another day to kick around a few ideas.

SR-71 is by far my favorite bird. Nicely done. Congrats!

Nicely done! You got my vote. I also have friends that are air traffic controllers at Atwater. If you go into the museum there's supposed to be some type of display where you hear air traffic control working traffic.... that was recorded from my last duty station at NAS Lemoore Ca while I was there. Don't know why the Chair Force wouldn't record Travis for their museum...

I still can't get over how perfectly the lines match up - the composition is just spot-on.
I can't imagine how hard it was to line the car up that perfectly.

Wow, John! I'm just now reading about your win and I must have looked rude by not acknowledging your win at our Pink Thingy party today! My humble apologies! I hated seeing Castle AFB close but I'm thankful for the Museum. You did an outstanding job adding that new power on the rear of your beautiful Magnum!
