November 2009 Photo Contest - Planes, Trains, and NOT Automobiles

Congratulations to novawagonmaster, last month's winner

This month's theme will be: Planes, trains, and NOT automobiles
    Submission Deadline: Sunday, November 15th

    From novawagonmaster:

Let's call this one "Planes, trains, and NOT automobiles". I realize not everybody will have planes or trains to shoot. So lets make the "NOT automobiles" part to include things like boats, tanks, tractors, combines, ships, helicopters, or any other mechanical motivation that you think might fit into this theme. Good luck, and have fun!

Your LX must still be in the photo, as always, but submissions should include some other means of transport as well. Your car along with some other mode of conveyance.

Submissions should be sent to Junior in a PM, any time through Sunday night, November 15th.
Any photos posted in this thread that are for this months theme will be deleted. Submissions posted elsewhere will not be counted.

Voting will begin on a separate thread as soon as the submission deadline passes.

    Here's the rules, folks:

    1) One entry per member, per contest.
    2) Member must take photo.
    3) Member's LX must be in the photo.
    4) Photograph must be taken for this contest - no previous shots allowed.
    5) Photoshopping is not allowed except for modifying the license plate, brightness and contrast, and crop/resize.
    6) Maximum size - 800 x 600. Oversize photos will not be allowed. Resizing available if needed.
    7) The winner will be responsible for deciding upon the theme of the following month's contest, and is not eligible to participate in that contest.

    Number of entries submitted: 13

I was trying to think of things so nobody would be excluded based on location. I had a few more ideas that would fit. Space shuttle/rockets, submarines (beans to the first one of you to get an underwater pic of your LX), those big friggin snowblower trucks (for you crazies up North), construction equipment like bulldozers, graders, loaders, etc.

You guys are a creative bunch. I'm anxious to see the pics for this one. I'll see what I can do to get out there and snap a few pics of my own before I put the car away for the winter.

I think I'm out of the running until Spring. I washed/waxed the car on Monday, since it was the ONLY day this week w/o rain/snow. If we get a few days with dry weather any time soon, I think I have a few ideas for this one...

Hmmm...sucks our loaders at work aren't ever close to clean. How would a white/yellow Volvo or CAT look by a TorRED Charger?
