    March 2010 Photo Contest - Sunrise, Sunset



    Congratulations to oswindle139, last month's winner

    This month's theme will be: Sunrise, Sunset
    Submission Deadline: Monday, March 15th

    "Sunrise, Sunset". This one should work for everyone, snowburied or sundrenched.

    Submissions should be sent to Junior in a PM, any time until Monday night, March 15th.

    Any photos posted in this thread that are for this months theme will be deleted. Submissions posted elsewhere will not be counted.

    Voting will begin on a separate thread as soon as the submission deadline passes.



    Here's the rules, folks:

    1) One entry per member, per contest.
    2) Member must take photo.
    3) Member's LX must be in the photo.
    4) Photograph must be taken for this contest - no previous shots allowed.
    5) Photoshopping is not allowed except for modifying the license plate, brightness and contrast, and crop/resize.
    6) Maximum size - 800 x 600. Oversize photos will not be allowed. Resizing available if needed.
    7) The winner will be responsible for deciding upon the theme of the following month's contest, and is not eligible to participate in that contest.

    Well I promised I would bring it up; if anyone has any more thoughts, feel free to post 'em and then next month I'll do whatever the consensus seems to be.

    man sunsets are fun to shoot. here is my fav. one that I shot last year. and one from a few years back. and yeah I think why cant we post (OLD) photos in this thread that are on topic of the theme for the month. that way we can see some photos while we wait for the contest to close and voting to begin.




    and while I was looking for others I ran across this one. its of a small lake near the one I took above. we stopped to take a look and the scene was just perfect! couldn't get the car in this one.

    maybe someday...the sun will come back out in the northeast again! It's been raining and snowing for 4 days now and doesn't look like any sun until next Tuesday! Winter blows!

    It get sunny here every day lately, but its still cold and at sunrise and sunset, it's too fogy to see the sun...

    And I remembered the otherday that I have storage only insurance on the car, so anything I do will have to be in my driveway, which will be difficult as there's not much to work with....

    HAHA! Must be true. I've heard that from both my wife and my mother at various stages in my life. I wear both the halo & the horns proudly.

    Sunrise or Sunset. Hmmm. Can't wait to see that warm glowing orb again. Northeast Ohio is back in blizzard mode again (wife & kids had a snow day today). Maybe next week...

    OK, how about I go ahead and move the dialog about the mechanics of the contest to the other thread now. We can still carry it on over there if need be, but we can give the contest thread back to the contest.
