    April 2009 Photo Contest Winner - Dupie24

    I can't believe I won, there were some great pics. I'm a very amature photographer and just enjoy taking pics. When the theme of bridges came up for this contest, right away I knew what I wanted to do, drive up Highway 1 on the coast, there are some awesome bridges there. My son lives in Santa Cruz were he is going to college, and my daughter lives in Berkeley. Perfect time to vist the kids, take a little road trip and get some bridge pics.
    Took a day off work, drove up the coast on Good Friday. Was dissappointed with the bridges on the coast, no real places to stop and get pics. There was one place, a State Park, the name which I forget, where Ghost Bridge is. Very cool railroad bridge, lots of different backrounds, etc. Took a bunch of shots there. Got to Berkeley with the son now in tow Fri. aft. Sat morning, got up, and went looking for shots with the Bay Bridge and Golden Gate Bridge. Took tons of shots at both places. Ended up with 325 shots for the weekend. Here are the other three shots I was trying to decide upon which to enter







    Again, thanks to all who voted for my pic, I can't tell you how neat that feels, it really made my year so far.

    I really had a hard time picking which one to enter. Golden Gate won due to its popularity, very well known bridge across the country.

    Congrats Dupie on the win. This was a very difficult month and you pulled it off. Yer other shots were excellent as well.

    Thanks, it was a lot of fun, we just love road trips and this gave us another excuse to take one!
