Are there any issues with tuning on those kits?
I plan on buying one soon, but after research some people have been less than happy with their results.
Mostly the 2010 SRT-8 Challenger/auto guys.
I was wondering if there were the same issues concerning the Chargers?
I have only read about one other person that went with the M2300, but he's RWD. No complaints from him...
I do plan on getting the 5 year warranty, so the tune might not be as aggressive as a full out custom tune; I get it-
but I want to still be a beast around town
I do plan on modding the drivetrain some, I hope that won't be an issue with their warranty (high stall torque converter, MTCM, upgraded valve bodies)
Every Magnuson we have installed has been great. Customers have been happy as well. Imo the Maggie`s are the best bang for the buck when it comes to daily drivers that want more power. Your car will handle 6lbs of boost with ease. The only tuning issue`s that i know off are the 6 speed cars when they shift and that`s usually on bigger more powerfull builds

Hi, thanks for your response.
I totally agree with you in terms of best bang for the buck. No other mod adds 100+WHP/TRQ. like this bad boy does.. and that's on low boost lol
I just chatted with Magnuson, and they will not allow any sort of other mods or tune when running their base canned tune. I don't mind, 100+whp is more than enough for me.
Does the Arlington 8 psi kit come with an extended warranty or no, because of the extra mods, different tune and added boost?
The base 6 psi kit does NOT require additional fuel support (KB BAP or fuel pump hat) and it will run just fine?
Would you say that 8 psi is the MAXIMUM amount of boost to run on a stock 5.7 motor? If they warranty the 8 psi kit, I might end up getting that one since I will not be able to mod and maintain warranty on the base 6 psi kit. That way, I can make up for the loss of mods.
Yep....Magnuson is just like any other blower company out there as they will not modify there 6lb kits what so ever. All we reccomend on the 5.7 or 6.1 is 8lbs of boost. These cars with the proper tune can handle 8lbs all day long and we have the tuning on lock down with AJ. You can still get the warranty as Magnuson is a sister comp to us.
?? I can still get the warranty with the Arlington 8 psi kit??
...
Can I get that in writing?![]()
The warranty will be honored by Arrington![]()
Now I'm wondering if the T-case can handle that much power. I have an 09 and from what I have read, their limits are unknown.
I have already planned mods for my transmission, (3200 FTI, MTCM) so that pretty much voids that part of the Magnuson warranty once I get that kit..
dang it.
Transfer cas should be ok as long as your under 500 at the tires. You will be around 450 at the tires
Does that include hard launches from 3200, power braking?
jk
don't answer that![]()
Are the install instructions for the 6.1 and the 5.7 pretty much the same?? if not where can I get the instructions for the 5.7??
The instructions come with the kit
Do it.....do it.....do it!!!!!!!
