    SoCal Cruise 7/19 & 7/26

I wanted to extend an official invitation to all LxReJx members. I spoke to a few of you at Beach Burger last week, and I know StichMonkey was talking about coming along after the Fullerton Meet.

We have a group that has been planning monthly cruises, and tomorrow is the first of 2 cruises happening this month (7/19 & 7/26). Although we began as a group for Chargers, all cars are welcome. Here's a video of last month's cruise in San Diego:

Here's the route for this month:

    http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...01501&t=h&z=11

It's in Southern OC and has some great twists and turns through the mountains. There are turnouts along the way where we can get some group pictures. The total drive is about an hour. The starting point is by the 15 and the finish by the 5, so it should make for an easy escape back home. We can also grab some lunch for those that are up for it. Make sure your brakes are in good shape for this cruise because you will be using them a lot on the switchbacks.

    Who's in?

So far we have 23 people signed up- some for 7/19, some for 7/26...some for both.

Meeting Time: 8:30am-9:00am (We leave at 9am sharp!)
Meeting Place: Lake Elsinore Outlets 17600 Collier Ave. Lake Elsinore, CA
Finish Point: Capistrano Beach in front of Olamendi's Mexican Resaurant (34660 Pacific Coast Hwy.)

Feel free to sign up here or over on Chargerforums or just show up! All are welcome!

You guys are going to love that drive.
If you have never been on the "Ortega", you are in for a treat. Hwy 74 is called the "Ortega Highway" but nicknamed to just the "Ortega" for the road riders. The "Ortega" is one of the windiest AND cleanest roads in SoCAL by far. A slew of excellant turns.
You may have to compete with some bikes.

Oh yeah...it's going to be great. It's one of the first roads I hit when I picked up my Charger.

A few pics from last week's cruise. Hope to see some of you on Saturday. We are expecting several non-Charger LX's next week, so don't let all the Charger's scare you off!

    Nice view of the lake:

A stop at the halfway point:
