    Cool Vortech Pics...

Picked her up from Vortech Friday. She really pulls especially in the higher RPM range. Best part, my MPG actually went up. Get this, I averaged on the interstate right around 27 mpg! Just have to keep my foot off the floor though...Lol!

Look's like a cogged belt at the supercharger pulley. What drives the blower?

    She's beautiful!

Tell us about the performance! Have any Dyno / quarter times?

Looks like cleaning that filter is going to be a chore.

Yeah cleaning the filter will require removing the super charger head unit and a belt. We think on the magnums and 300s you might be able to pull the head light and not have to pull the head unit...we will know when we get the others back.

Man, lots of guys still arent giving these motors any credit. Here's a quick run-down for you:

Friend of CMJ's has a Sublime Daytona with the ProCharger on it. The car is making 411 rwhp at 7.5 lbs of boost. The car has probably in excess of 15,000 miles on with the blower on it (some of which was driven without a full tune in it yet), and the car is mint. No problems, runs great.

I have the same exact car (both have long-tubes and catback as well) and Im making 426 rwhp at only 4.5 lbs of boost. I have yet to report any problems with the setup as of yet (havent put that many miles on mine). I LOVE the fact that I am hardly pushing any boost at this motor and still making more power. I am NOT using Vortech's canned tune---the car was custom tuned with a custom fuel setup, just like the aforementioned Sublime is as well.

Trust me, 426 rwhp is definitely something worth shaking a stick at. Its alot of power, especially coming from the 300 rwhp-range to this..... I am QUITE pleased. Sure, you wanna double the boost down the road? Then and only then do I think you need to look into reinforcing internals or re-doing the motor in general. But in the meantime, I really would NOT be shy of this kit at all. Very happy with Vortech.

i do not know why the 5.7 guys think you need piston, they are better than the 6.1s. at 6lbs of bust you guys will be fine, if you are planing on going higher than that is a different story.

The reason I want a built bottom end is because, I want more boost than 4 to 7 psi. I know what boost feels like from previous cars of mine. and I have to support my habit...LOL
