    Vortech canned tune

    Anybody install there 6.1 vortech kit yet. if so, did you go with Vortech's canned tune or a custome CMR? Happy with the canned tune?

    I would stick with the canned tune unless you want to go forged. there are few people out there that could tune it well enough to survive long.

    It comes with a canned tune and if your car is stock it will run great w/ the canned tune...ours will be up and running this week using the canned tune! We also have alot of other kits we have sold to members on this site that are going to be using the canned tune. One installed his kit today and said the A/F was dead on perfect! If you have heads/cam etc you will need a CMR tune.

    Well quit slacking and finish that mofo up.....I wanna see one bada$$ burnout in front of BMC !!!
    Mods: 6.1 motor with PPP Ported Heads and 224/228 598/578 113LSA, stock tq converter, stock SRT headers with gutted cats, JBA 3in exhaust, LMI hammer design intake. The only 6.1 motor running a 2.82 rear.....Soon to be 3.06 gears.....Installs done by Afterhours Mopar Performance

    I got mine back from Vortech Friday. With there tune it runs good!

    2006 Silver Srt-8 Option groups 1,2,3, air bags and sunroof, KWv2s, Hotchkis Sways, Bwoody end links, tinted tails,phenolic intake spacers,Magnflow High Flow Cats and Exhaust,170 T-stat HIDs low and fogs 5000k, USW Forged DLux 22x9.5 and 22x10.5 with Vredestein 265/35 295/30, Demon Eyes, Diablo Predator, Screwed by Techco.

    thats bout what I expected, Vortech seems to have things dialed. Can anybody recommend an experienced Vortech installer in the northern california area?

    You might have a hard time finding one experienced with these kits I am sure if you call vortech they can point you in the right direction though.

    I found out about a shop for those who need one in norcal, Force Fed Performance in Sacramento, They are a Vortech and ProCharger authorized distributor.
