Second Report of the Techco Twinscrew Blower

Well after putting about a 1k miles on the car, and really allowing nature to take its course the Techco staff asked me to bring it in. From the durability test of the R&D car they adjusted my tune with some updates and some of my request. I thought I had a problem before of not hooking the tires, now I really have a problem.

Some of the adjustment that were made was more responsive throttle. Better driving abilities, and oh boy the 1/4, & 1/2 throttle acceleration is incredible. After getting the adjustments I drove out to flames in bumper to bumper traffic of course on a Friday night the 405 was a parking lot.

Well I gave a test ride to Paul, who also took video...His reply was "It feels like we are riding on ice" in other words the HP/TQ coming from the Techco twinscrew is making incredible power and not allowing the tires to grip at all. I also allowed Paul to take the SilvaSurfer for a spin, Who could not believe the feel and power. But once it grabs we never got pass 2 gear.

I am now even more confident the Techco and their staff not only knows what they are doing but cares about their customers. John, Rust and I did about 2 hours of data loggin and several adjustments before they felt I was taken care of. There ability to diagnose the problem is very intense. So if you are looking for a set-up and would like a company who cares Techco is the place.

Much props to Carlos, John, Billy, Jimmie, Rust, Bill, and the entire Techco Staff .

More info and data to be released!!!!

Thumbs up New Update on MPG!!!!

I filled up this morning before I left for work.. Some of you know I work in Santa Ana, Ca. A round trip is about 75+ miles. Then I ran a couple of errands and with to see my boy 36. Something told me to check my trip A and low and behold I did 135 miles on a 1/4 of a tank of gas.

Went back to the gas station just to top it off for the rest of the week. It only took 5 gallons to fill it back up.. So that mean I averaged 27 MPG with and average of 75 to 80 mph...

DAMN that is better then my MPG stock....

Have any videos of the car actually gettin' on it? I'd like to see the transition from just cruising to putting the hammer down. I'm at a crossroads now trying to decide which route to go and the Whipple is sitting at the top of my list with the Techno a close 2nd.

    Thanks

So is it a matter of boost coming on too quickly, or does it come on smoothly but it's just plain too much for the tires? I know the Harrop/Bullet kits came on really suddenly, made 'em pretty hard to drive.

Techco made some adjustments on certain parts and the sound is much different...

That's good to know, I do understand the dynamics behind why it sounded that way, but some of the videos were very funny sounding...

    I'm just jealous anyway......

Well that was my question... is it so instant that you can't roll out w/o blazing the tires?
